So the other night Michael and I had a beach sunset shoot planned. With work and adult life neither of us get much camera time anymore. So of course we were both looking forward to it. All afternoon it stormed..and when I say stormed I mean stormed. Thunder, close lightning strikes, torrential downpour, wind and some places even got hail. We watched the weather closely, checking app every 15-30 minutes and decided rain would move out by the time we were at location. So we moved forward with shoot. With subject in tow, through the rain we arrived at our location. Checked the weather app again..weather shifted ever so slightly and we had about an hour til rain moved out. So we waited…Once it let up we hiked down the beach to our spot.. beach was fairly empty..SCORE!! There were storm clouds in the distance and a beautiful lightning show. We had overcast skies, a nice breeze and black sand on the beach. Our subject, Katelyn, was more than happy to get dirty. Great things come to those who wait!
