Trying to slowly get back to normal after the hurricane is harder than it sounds. It has been 18 days since Florence invaded my beautiful home and there are people still without. Without power, without jobs, without personal belongings, without homes, without help from insurance companies and FEMA and without answers. I find myself searching for moments of normal throughout each day. I can’t begin to imagine what these people are going through. Tonight this is my moment of normal.
